Toru Watanabe is a renowned folk dance artist, creative performer and choreographer.

He has trained and still tours with Japan's folk dance group, Warabi-za, performing at times over 200 times a year throughout Japan.
Toru is a performing member of Portland Taiko. With wife Michelle Fujii, he leads folk dance workshops, and collaborates with a variety of artists in America and Japan.
